There is usually a service of Holy Communion or Morning Prayer at St Ffraid’s every Sunday at St Ffraid’s at 11am. Easter Day – there will be a service of Holy Communion at 10 am

Wednesday April 3rd
Please note that there will be no mid week Communion service on Wednesday April 3rd. We will resume the following Wednesday with the service at 10.30am in Ysgol Cybi.
Sunday April 7th – Second Sunday of Easter
We will be gathering in St. Gwenfaen’s’s 11am April 7th for our Joint Ministry Area Service next month. This will be the only service in the MA that day and will be lovely to see you there.s

History
There’s been a Church at Trearddur Bay for 1,600 years. Legend tells us that St Ffraid brought the precious gospel message across the sea from Ireland in a tiny coracle or sailing on square of |green Irish turf.  A  wooden church was constructed on the beach and stood there for many generations.
The site is now marked by a Celtic Stone cross looking out across the beautiful bay. Find out more about St Ffraid’s history

Location

The church is situated on Lon St Ffraid, the main road through Trearddur Bay. It is on the left when travelling away from Holyhead towards Valley.
